About the role
As a Preconstruction Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring that all necessary plans, specifications, and documents are in place to meet project requirements.Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and coordination of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage relationships with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Work closely with project managers to develop cost estimates and manage project budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction projects.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction roles, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with contract management and negotiation is a plus.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Understanding of construction methodologies and techniques.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
