About the role
As a Precision Grinding Operator at Overton Tool & Die Division, you will be responsible for operating precision grinding machines to produce high-quality metal parts. This position requires a strong understanding of machining processes and adherence to quality standards.Responsibilities
- Operate precision grinding machines to shape and finish metal components.
- Follow detailed blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency in part production.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal operation.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new equipment and techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with precision grinding machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machines is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Skills
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues during production.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
