Precast Pipe Plant Manager

About the Role

This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of up to 25 workers. The role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and productive working environment, training and instructing workers, determining work sequences and equipment requirements, observing work procedures for safety and quality, inspecting equipment for wear, and ensuring completed work meets standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, and general housekeeping for the assigned plant.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff as required.
• Review production schedules and inventory to determine staffing, duty assignments, and work schedules.
• Direct and coordinate production and prepare production reports.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
• Enforce all company regulations and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in the supervision of others.
• Knowledge of precast pipe products required.
• Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, and techniques for maximizing the manufacture of concrete products.
• Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work.
• Excellent understanding of written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with industry standards.
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures, and/or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems.
