Location: Waukesha, WI 53186 | Onsite, second shift, hourly position

About the Role

The Plant Foreman oversees the daily operation of shipping, ensuring workloads are properly assigned and the day flows seamlessly. This role provides leadership to the shipping team while maintaining efficiency, safety, and compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and routine direction to all department employees
• Utilize JDE and RF Smart to review product availability and minimize shortages
• Assign employees to cover breaks and lunches while keeping detention charges below budget
• Collaborate with the QA department to ensure all product is available to ship
• Ensure paperwork is properly filled out and inspected before loads depart
• Report all safety issues
• Perform all general warehouse duties as listed in the warehouse forklift driver description
• Participate in DOR and shift handover meetings
• Follow all food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria, including SQF code, GMPs, and FSMA preventive controls
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse distribution environment
• Previous forklift certification with excellent driving skills and demonstrated dexterity in handling bulky objects
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
• Computer literacy and strong math skills for verifying product quantities
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with truckers, coworkers, and management

Physical Demands

• Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Ability to work in adverse temperatures (extreme heat, cold, humidity), vibrations, chemicals, fumes, and food allergens (soy, dairy, etc.)
• Potential exposure to confined spaces, dark spaces, and heights exceeding 18 feet

Schedule

• Typical shifts are 8–12 hours per day
• Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may be required
