About the role
The Prevocational DSP provides service coordination, implements workshops, and assists in developing vocational goals for individuals in the Prevocational program. They also transport participants to and from activities and maintain safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with staff and clients.
- Serves up to 8 individuals in a caseload.
- Affords advocacy based on participant needs.
- Supervises participants and maintains program notes.
- Transports individuals to and from volunteer activities.
- Maintains agency vehicles for safety.
- Submits gas receipts and participates in fire drills.
- Assists with El Camino Café activities and volunteer opportunities.
- Completes notables and maintains certifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Current NY State driver’s license.
- Experience with community human service providers and working with Developmentally Disabled population.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
