About the role
Work from home presenting at-need cemetery and pre-need arrangement services and products to consumers. As a self-starter, you will develop relationships within the community to generate qualified leads and achieve monthly sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Attain or exceed monthly sales revenue quota by presenting Dignity Memorial® Personal Planning Guide electronic presentations to consumers.
- Influence consumers on the benefits of pre-planning and guide them through cemetery grounds or crematory mausoleums, actively listening to their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Provide service beyond expectations to build trust and form the foundation for future sales.
- Promote the SCI Brand and service excellence while following company processes to complete contracts accurately and address family questions.
- Self-initiate leads through community engagement, professional networks, civic organizations, and businesses by building reliable relationships.
- Prospect for at least 50% of the workday through face-to-face interactions, door knocking, or seminars, often working nights and weekends.
- Maintain and track activity levels in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to ensure productivity.
- Obtain referrals from families served through aftercare visits (ACV) and schedule sales appointments.
- Establish and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships with families by connecting with them, resolving concerns, and meeting commitments.
- Support families in times of grief with acts of kindness, such as attending services or receptions.
- Collaborate with management and staff to improve processes and provide high-quality services.
- Share family concerns with the SCI team to ensure continuous support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Funeral Directors License where required by state law.
- Life Insurance license where required by state law; company will support obtaining licensing.
- Current state/province-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Sales experience preferred; industry experience a plus.
- Previous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Computer and technology skills.
- Goal-oriented self-starter.
- Public speaking ability; comfortable presenting to small groups.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Willingness to work a significant number of evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
