Pre-op/ PACU Registered Nurse PRN
About the Role
Surgery Center of Columbia is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth surgical operations for pre- or post-surgical patients, from infants (1 month) to geriatric patients.
The position requires weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or call.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards of care.
- Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards.
- Make decisions based on nursing judgment and prioritize/organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
