Pre-Loader/Local Driver

Responsibilities

• Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.
• Transporting loaded trailers to the yard in order to allow drivers to drop-and-hook from the yard rather than the customer location.
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Spotting trailers for customers.
• Cleaning truck daily after use.
• Communicating with customers about daily trailer needs.
• Maintaining and fueling trailers and tractors.
• Inspecting equipment for integrity and damage.
• Tracking loaded and unloaded trailers.
• Reporting loaded and unloaded trailers shuttled or respotted during shift.

Requirements

• Must have a strong work history and great customer service skills.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Either 5 months OTR experience or 6 months running a day cab.
• Prior tractor/trailer driving experience strongly preferred.
• Valid CDL with a clean driving record.
• Pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.

Pay

$24/hour plus overtime & incentive options.

Schedule

This is an overnight position. Hours: 5pm to 5am.
