Pre-licensure Nursing Faculty

Indiana Wesleyan University is seeking a full-time Pre-licensure Nursing faculty member to manage and teach curricula within the Division of Pre-licensure Nursing. Applicants should demonstrate personal faith in Jesus Christ, comfort with Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and a commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning. Position begins July 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours in Pre-licensure Nursing per year (may include summer courses)
• Maintain expertise in a specific teaching area of nursing
• Maintain knowledge of The Essentials of Nursing Education for Baccalaureate Degree Programs
• Assist in keeping curricula current and evidence-based
• May maintain clinical practice (not to exceed 15 hours per week)
• Participate in School of Nursing and Health Sciences and university committees as elected/appointed
• Advise students in achieving requirements for graduation and NCLEX
• Assist students in self-evaluation, career planning, and spiritual formation
• Attend graduations, retreats, convocations, and other university activities
• Other duties as assigned
• Minimum of 10 hours per week of scheduled office time for student contact

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (required)
• Doctorate in Nursing or related field (preferred)
• Active, unencumbered Indiana Nursing license
• CPR certified
• Three (3) years of nursing experience
• Strong Christian commitment and adherence to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement
