Pre-Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Per Diem - Part-Time
Job Description
Pre-Licensed: Under supervision, assists in performing a variety of laboratory tests in various clinical laboratory sections; keeps records of examinations and findings.
- Performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with various types of specimens using specified laboratory techniques and methods.
- Operates various automated laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Assists in maintaining records of examinations and findings; inputs and maintains clinical laboratory data utilizing computer hardware and applicable software.
- Maintains effective professional work relationships with laboratory staff, other hospital departments and those contacted in the performance of required duties.
Other Functions
Performs other job related duties as required.
Employment Standards
- Current enrollment in a California State approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program, and eligible to obtain a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Trainee License issued from the State of California, Laboratory Field Services.

Supplemental Dependent upon assignment, applicants may be required to pass an extensive background investigation, and be fingerprinted.
Disqualification for felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Pay
The estimated pay for this position is $32.8876. This reflects only a portion of the total compensation package for this position. Additional compensation may be available for this role through differentials, incentives, and bonuses.
Schedule
Per Diem minimum scheduling expectation is four (4) shifts per four-week schedule.
