About the role
Plans and directs daily programs for children enrolled in the Pre-Kindergarten Program and Summer Camp. Consistently provides developmentally appropriate and child centered activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual needs of the children. Functions as a team leader and role model working with assistants and volunteers in the classroom.
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree and be currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree teacher certification program
- Two years of teaching experience in Early Childhood setting similar to responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development/management techniques, appropriate activities for preschool/school age children, and related care regulations
- Must be energetic, with an interest in and enjoyment of children
- One year of supervisory experience
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or Related Field
- Current Teaching Certificate in Pre-K through 5th grade or Pre-K through 8th grade
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and other GA state health and safety requirements
License or certification required by the State of Georgia
Teaching Certificate (P-5 or P-8) issued by Professional Standards Commission
