Pre-Kindergarten Paraprofessional (15463)

About the Role

This position supports the Principal and assigned teacher(s) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans
• Provide individual and small-group support to Pre-K students
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom supplies as directed
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
• Assist with student personal care needs as required (e.g., toileting, feeding, hygiene)
• Document student progress and behavior as requested by the teacher
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or supervising teacher

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate or ability to obtain within required timeframe
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills

Pay & Schedule

• Annual salary range: $19,824 – $28,235 (minimum: $19,824; midpoint: $24,030; maximum: $28,235)
• Work days: 177 per school year
