Pre-K4 and Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

Alpha House, an early childhood center located on the campus of Holy Family University, is seeking passionate, nurturing, and skilled early childhood educators for PreK4 and Kindergarten classrooms. The start date is August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of each child.
• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and early childhood best practices.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students requiring additional support or enrichment.
• Build a positive, respectful classroom culture that supports all learners.
• Supervise all daily activities including arrival, dismissal, classroom learning, outdoor play, snack, and rest periods while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, specialists, and staff to support a cohesive and nurturing school environment.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
• Respond effectively to dynamic classroom environments and student needs.
• Lift and assist children as needed; ability to sit, kneel, and stand without assistance.

Requirements

• One of the following is required:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or related field.
• A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 30 credits in a related field.
• An Associate’s Degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience.
• An Associate’s Degree with 30 credits in a related field with 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices.
• The ability to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Familiarity with instructional technology and classroom tools.
