Pre-K Teacher
Schedule
Monday–Friday 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)
About the role
The Teacher creates engaging learning environments that support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while promoting school readiness and family engagement.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth
- Assess and monitor children’s developmental progress
- Maintain classroom records and documentation
- Partner with families to support student success
- Ensure compliance with NC Pre-K and licensing standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- NC Pre-K qualifications and licensure requirements required
- Experience working in preschool or Pre-K settings preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to actively supervise preschool-aged children, move throughout classroom and outdoor learning environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
