About the role

Zeta is expanding its network of elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, opening 1-2 new schools each year. As part of this growth, we are preparing to launch our first-ever Zeta High School in the 2026-27 school year, creating a world-class, PreK-12 pathway. We are seeking Pre-K Head Teachers to join our team and help deliver a combination of high academic achievement and social-emotional development for our students.

Responsibilities

• Plan inquiry-based, rigorous lessons that focus on exploration and play
• Build a classroom culture that fosters students' genuine love for learning and creates a sense of community for our families
• Master Zeta's Pre-K academic content and social-emotional curriculum
• Use a data-driven approach and teaching resources to drive student achievement
• Develop authentic, meaningful relationships with students and families to support students' personal and academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in weekly professional development opportunities to benefit from feedback and grow as an educator

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience
• NYS Birth-2nd grade initial or professional certification
• Proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $72,500 and $112,500. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary closer to the beginning of the range, depending on relevant experience, certification status, and internal equity. Zeta offers a relocation reimbursement of up to $2,500 for eligible teachers relocating to join our school community.
