General Accountability
Report to Production Supervisor. Activities within this classification include the inspection of finished machines prior to shipping, which will include some rework to help meet production needs. Day to day personnel activities are assigned by the Production Supervisor. Quality issues/activities shall be directed through the area supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Evaluate each machine against published acceptance criteria (PDI Inspection Procedure, paint and weld acceptance criteria, etc.), current quality alerts, or approved deviations and current assembly/subassembly drawings
- Record the condition of machines inspected on the appropriate checklist. Return completed checklists to QA on the agreed upon interval
- Provide the appropriate feedback to supervision and/or management concerning product quality
- Where appropriate and as directed, perform minor rework that is re-inspected and accepted, which may include, but not limited to hydraulic, electrical or mechanical work
- Whenever required may be called upon to sound test units to customer requirements and or country/region directives
Experience
- Experience and knowledge of all model machines built at Madison facility
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills required
- Must exhibit physical abilities to lift up to 50 lbs, safely
- Self starter, team player and have the ability to multitask
Expertise
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, checklists, internal and external deviations, etc
- Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of personnel within the plant
- Computer skills including knowledge of Google is preferred
Education
- Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred

- This position is located onsite in Madison, South Dakota
