Primary Responsibilities
- Leading all preconstruction planning and coordination for commercial roofing projects from contract award through operations handoff.
- Affirming accuracy of estimating data, contract documents, budgets, materials procurement, and project setup within CRM/project management systems.
- Closely working with estimators, project managers, vendors, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution, cost control, and schedule alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing estimator handoff, contracts, specs, drawings, and project requirements.
- Building and maintaining job books, submittal packages, and project documentation.
- Setting up and managing project data in CRM/project management systems.
- Coordinating material procurement with vendors/manufacturers.
- Developing labor projections, budgets, and cost controls.
- Supporting submittals, shop drawings, permits, and approvals.
- Liaising with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Leading precon-to-operations turnover meetings for smooth handoff.
- Tracking multiple projects, deadlines, and documentation simultaneously.
- Maintaining compliance, quality standards, and customer communication.
Ideal Background
- Experience in commercial roofing preconstruction or related construction role.
- Strong knowledge of specs, drawings, contracts, and estimating processes.
- CRM/project management software proficiency.
- Strong budgeting, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in similar role.
- Prior experience working for Commercial Roofing is a plus.
- 5 years similar work experience for commercial construction contractor, design, or manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to understand and implement a budget.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Exceptional reading and language comprehension.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, typing, and computer navigation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Stable work history.
