About the Role

Under general supervision, you will contact insurance companies to obtain pre-authorization for various testing and/or therapy. You will gather necessary personal and medical information from physician offices for authorization purposes and perform computer data entry and record-keeping tasks related to patient treatment authorization.

Responsibilities

• Obtain pre-authorization from insurance companies for patient testing and therapy.
• Collect and verify personal and medical information from physician offices.
• Perform data entry and maintain records related to patient treatment authorizations.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to function independently and complete tasks with speed and accuracy.
• Clerical, data entry, and typing skills, including filing and record-keeping.
• Flexibility and attention to detail.
• One or more years of related insurance experience in a healthcare facility or physician office preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field (if no high school diploma or equivalent).

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Evening shift: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM.

Pay

The minimum starting rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. The final rate of pay will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. This rate does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
