Job Overview
The Telephonic Triage RN is responsible for providing nursing care services to assigned practice(s)/specialty(s), completing bio-psychosocial telephonic assessments, triaging patient needs, and communicating with physicians, pharmacists, and hospitals.
Job Responsibilities
- Coaching/Development: Promotes a positive work environment by collaborating with team members and supporting colleagues.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Manages In-Basket messages, responds to patient concerns, and ensures accurate information is provided to providers.
- Operations Management: Operates in "Ready" mode, completes patient hand-offs, and follows clinical protocols.
- Patient Engagement: Utilizes tools like AIDET+, HEARD Model, and scripting to create a consistent patient experience.
- Quality/Safety/Satisfaction: Assesses and triages patient status, provides education, and reviews health maintenance documentation.
Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- 2-3 years Clinical Nursing Experience
- Strong Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing Sciences
- Registered Nurse (RN) License and/or Compact State Licensure upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire

Location and Schedule
Location: TriHealth Internal Medicine – 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220
In Person Position
Work Schedule: Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly)
Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Rotating Saturday: 8 AM - 12 PM (taking calls for all group health offices)
Qualifications
- Completed an Associate's Degree in Nursing
- At least 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and/or compact state licensure upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
