Practice Manager III - Neurology
About the Role
This is a mid to upper management position, with proven leadership experience, reporting directly to a Service Line Director. The Practice Manager 3 is responsible for managing all functions of the assigned practice areas, including coordination of day-to-day operations, providing leadership, setting goals, and decision-making to maintain quality, performance, and production standards. This role may involve mentoring or supervising a Practice Manager 1 or 2 and requires oversight of staff and close partnership with physician leaders. The specific area of operations may be multi-site and multi-practice, with more than 35 direct reports and over 10 physicians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, providers, and management staff.
- Promote a positive image of each practice area.
- Manage scheduling and overtime, including approving timecards using time-keeping systems.
- Implement employee recognition and engagement activities and programs.
- Supervise and coach front office and clinical staff.
- Lead the performance management process.
- Conduct regular staff or provider meetings.
- Address employee work-related concerns and support employee development, including mentorship or direct supervision of Practice Manager I positions.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on progressive discipline of employees.
- Determine optimal staffing, develop job descriptions, and recruit and hire staff or providers.
- Create department goals, objectives, and operational policies and procedures.
- Manage and track metrics or dashboards frequently.
- Oversee the budget process and monitor monthly status.
- Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance.
Qualifications
- Required:
- 2-year degree with 4 years of recent/relevant experience or 6 years of recent/relevant experience.
- 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills related to Windows and MS Office.
- Desired:
- Master's Degree in Business or related field.
- EMR experience, specifically EPIC.
- Healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated experience building successful cross-functional relationships.
- Knowledge and experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Clinical licensure.
- Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM®) or Clinical certification related to physician practice specialty.
Physical/Sensory Demands
The role involves frequent sitting/standing, reaching below shoulder height, bending/stooping/crouching, twisting/turning, and repetitive movement. Occasional demands include walking, reaching at or above shoulder height, climbing, pulling/pushing/lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, crawling/kneeling, and lifting/carrying over 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
Moderate amount of time requirements outside normal working hours. Regular travel to Confluence Health campuses is required.

Pay
Salary Range: $40.87 - $72.27
