About the Role
Responsible for the management of up to three providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or Associate's Degree and 4 years of experience in an office practice environment at a supervisory level.
- 1 year of experience working in a medical practice environment with one year of experience at a supervisory level.
- 1 year of experience with insurance and reimbursement, CPT codes, ICD codes, and Medicare/Medicaid compliance procedures (preferred).
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a medical practice (required).
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to function in an administrative role.
- Develop and manage departmental budget.
- Seek ways to increase revenue while decreasing expenses.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate financial data to physicians, director, and/or senior staff.
- Demonstrate an overall understanding of financial data.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Hold the department accountable for overall performance.
- Communicate in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Hold staff members accountable for communicating professionally.
- Act as a resource person within the department regarding communication skills.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and vision of the organization.
- Perform other duties as required and complete all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (e.g., self-education, attending ongoing educational programs).
- Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-services, requirements, and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrate competency in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs (for non-clinical areas, demonstrate usage of age-specific customer service skills).
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
