Practice Manager I

About the Role

The Practice Manager is responsible for designated practices and collaborates within an integrated healthcare delivery system. Customers include regional leadership, physicians, providers, practice management, staff, patients, their caretakers, regulatory bodies, vendors, and the community. This position develops plans to identify and reach short and long-term goals, ensures development and compliance with operating and capital budgets, and achieves financial performance targets.

This role supports 6-11 providers and supervises staff associates, managing outpatient ambulatory sites with multiple specialties, clinics, and providers. The Practice Manager will oversee clinic operations, including direct supervisory and managerial functions, and report to the Director of Regional Operations.

The position serves as a patient advocate, role model for ethical management, and liaison with service lines and joint ventures. A key responsibility is building collaborative relationships with physicians and the management team to fulfill accountabilities and strengthen relationships within the Physician Group.

Responsibilities

• Administer business, financial, and practice functions of the practice.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of physician and community relations to enhance service delivery.
• Promote awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles.
• Build collaborative relationships with physicians and the management team.
• Serve as a liaison with service lines and joint ventures within the clinic.
• Engage teams in problem-solving and critical thinking to meet and exceed key performance metrics.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field with at least one year of management experience.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to lead a small business.
• Track record of meeting and exceeding key performance metrics.
• HS/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field (MHA or MBA preferred).

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work involving prolonged periods of sitting and exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.

Pay

$29.49 - $45.81 per hour.
