Practice Leader - Water/Wastewater

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders
• Provide overall guidance on the design and technical aspects of the team’s projects
• Prepare proposals and client agreements
• Monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
• Responsible for the oversight of technical and professional development of project team(s)
• Participate in developing company design and production standards
• Actively participate in professional associations and civic organizations

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain in 6 months
• Minimum of 15 years' experience managing substantial projects from conception to completion, including estimating costs of technical tasks in W/WW projects; at least 10 of those years managing projects
• Houston area experience and contacts are a strong plus
• Strong background with W/WW facility projects
• Prominent ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills, with all levels of employees in an organization
• Prominent ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders
• Prominent ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel
• Actively involved in professional associations and civic organization
