Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Practice Leader to build and lead an Environmental Practice in Seattle, WA!
Responsibilities
- Create a vision for growth for our Environmental practice team while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for our Environmental practice team while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.
- Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with clients, government agencies, landowners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project adheres to zoning regulations, environmental laws, and other legal requirements.
- Identify potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that the project is executed with a high level of quality and meets the client's expectations.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience managing environmental projects in the local area with a demonstrated ability to manage those projects profitably
- Bachelors Degree or higher in city or regional planning or related
- Strong experience with CEQA/NEPA in the state
- Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, county, regional and state agencies
- Provide high quality deliverables with exceptional client service
- A desire to lead and grow a planning practice
- Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Experience leading, mentoring and managing staff in a positive manner
Pay & Benefits
- Salary Range: $150,000 – $2000,000 (commensurate with experience)
