Job Summary
The General Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham seeks a Practice Assistant II to support efficient practice operations by providing administrative and patient-facing support under general supervision.

The pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, with increases based on the candidate's years of experience.

What You'll Do
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
- Greet and assist patients and respond to routine inquiries.
- Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and message routing.
- Process billing forms and scan documents into EPIC.
- Request medical records and laboratory results.
- Distribute mail and faxes and prepare routine correspondence.
- Collect patient co-payments as needed.
- Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
- Serve as an EPIC Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems (training provided).
- Auxiliary with training staff and perform advanced scheduling functions, including surgical scheduling and schedule management, as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–3 years of office experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Knowledge of office operations and administrative procedures.
- Strong phone, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow established processes and work effectively within a team.
