About the role

UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital is seeking a Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstruction Surgery Physician to join a group of 10 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers. Fellowship trained, board certified/eligible in Female/Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is required. Advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgical skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat a wide range of urogynecology conditions including office-based procedures, vaginal surgery, and minimally invasive surgical care
  • Provide evidence-based in-office and surgical care
  • Mentor and teach residents and fellows that routinely rotate through the service

Work environment

  • Outreach program to 15 community sites
  • Operations in 6 facilities to ensure patient access to expertise
  • Robust fellowship program

Call schedule

Primarily related to back-up for fellows and consists of about 4–5 weekends per year and about 1–2 weekdays per month.

Research

There are extensive opportunities for research in all areas of Urogynecology.

Requirements

  • Fellowship trained in Female/Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Keen knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical options for female urinary incontinence
