About the role

Vituity is seeking an Emergency Medicine Practice Administrator to join our team in Deerfield Beach, FL. This role plays a vital part in our mission to transform healthcare and improve lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, business operations support to medical directors, site physician partners, advanced providers, and scribes (when applicable).
  • Act as the operational administrator for the site and as the interface for the practice to the hospital and community.
  • Act as the front-line liaison for the provider team with hospital C-Suite, nursing leadership, nursing staff, and Vituity support team.
  • Provide executive support to the site medical director and site management team to meet contract expectations.
  • Support all site financials, including contract stipends, expense reimbursements, and site payroll timecards.
  • Act as the super user for all Vituity software applications and as a point person for hospital software and hardware systems.
  • Provide support for providers in criminal or civil disputes, including subpoena handling, deposition scheduling, and fee schedule development.
  • Manage office operations, including meeting management, office systems, supplies, site events, and customer service.
  • Facilitate patient census and attend daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
  • Ensure adequate clinical coverage and manage clinical schedules.
  • Project manage operational programs, including Operations Meetings, Patient Experience Program, Quality/Performance Improvement Program, Advanced Provider and/or Scribe Programs, and Student or Resident rotations.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new providers and employees, as well as locums and reservists and/or residents and students.
  • Ensure all providers complete recredentialing and remain compliant with Vituity and hospital programs.
  • Act as the point person for Vituity People Operations (Human Resources) relations, including site roster management and compliance with employment law and Vituity policies.
  • Create and maintain orientation checklists and manuals.
  • Collaborate with Medical Director and Site Management Team in developing and maintaining site practice policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate medical records and data submission to Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Ensure billing and documentation compliance through completion of site WIP/TAD lists, answering provider routine questions, and participating in monthly meetings with Revenue Cycle Management billing team.
  • Evaluate and convey information in legible reports to Human Resource, Finance, and Executive groups.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of experience in an office or healthcare setting.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of general Human Resource principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and County Agencies who regulate the Healthcare Industry preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
  • Strong consultation skills and the ability to seek out information.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and sensitive to deadlines.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $23.40 – 29.25, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
