Practical Nurse, Cardiology Clinic Per Diem

About the role

The practical nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse collaborates with other healthcare team members to implement the patient's plan of care. The LPN participates in department Quality Improvement Programs and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to adult and geriatric patients under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members (MD, PA, NP, RN, cardiology technician, ambulatory care coordinators) to implement the patient’s plan of care.
• Participate in department Quality Improvement Programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• Completion of an accredited training program for practical nursing.
• BCLS for healthcare providers required through AHA.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and collaborate with multiple team members.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience as a practical nurse in a clinic setting.
• Cardiology experience.
