PPS COORDINATOR

About the Role

We are seeking a PPS (Prospective Payment System) Coordinator/Case Manager to coordinate patient care, manage discharge planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee accurate documentation and reimbursement processes within our inpatient rehabilitation unit. This role serves as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and insurance providers to ensure optimal outcomes and appropriate reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and manage discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Medicare guidelines.
• Complete and maintain accurate IRF-PAI assessments.
• Oversee data collection and documentation required for reimbursement.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and insurance providers.

Requirements

• Registered Nursing license by the Nursing Board of Georgia (ASN or higher).
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records.

Experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work, primarily sitting, with occasional walking or standing.
• Light lifting may be required.
• Requires motor coordination, manual dexterity, and near-visual acuity (with or without prescription lenses/contacts).

Reporting Structure

Supervised by the Nurse Manager, Inpatient Rehab, and the Chief Nursing Officer/VP. This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
