Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking Plant Mechanics in Aiken, SC. The Plant Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose, replace, or repair parts of equipment using appropriate tools and materials
• Study drawings and technical publications to solve problems
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
• Comply with customer rules and safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience in industrial maintenance work
• Basic computer skills
• Basic electrical skills
• Complete set of mechanics' tools appropriate for maintenance and repair (company will provide access to specialized tools)
• Proficiency in all above areas

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years PM and industrial or commercial repair experience
• 2 to 3 years metal fabrication experience (plus)
• Technical school training or degree (plus)
• PLC experience (plus)
• Welding experience (plus)

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• Able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders
• Able to hear and respond to voice commands and alarms

Safety

• Steel toe shoes required
