Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking plant mechanics in Aiken, SC. The Plant Mechanic role involves performing skilled maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement. This position requires rotating shifts and may involve overtime. Mechanics must adhere to safety protocols and customer rules.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and replace faulty parts using appropriate tools and materials.
• Practice safety-conscious behavior during all operational processes.
• Comply with customer rules and safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publications
• Valid driver's license
• Experience in industrial maintenance work
• Basic computer and electrical skills
• Complete set of mechanics' tools (company-provided access to specialized tools)
• Proficiency in all technical areas mentioned

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years PM and industrial or commercial repair experience
• 2 to 3 years metal fabrication experience
• Technical school training or degree
• PLC experience
• Welding experience

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Strength and stamina to perform technical duties
• Full range of motion and balance
• Ability to move in confined spaces and on uneven areas
• Adequate hearing and response to voice commands and alarms
