PPM Millwright- (SIC SKIPPERS) - FT Temp 6.4

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
• Dismantles machines;
• Moves machinery and equipment;
• Assembles and installs machines then tests them to make sure they are working correctly;
• Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime;
• Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts;
• Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones;
• Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts;
• Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts;
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers;
• Aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method;
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures;
• May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications;
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment;
• May be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.

Qualifications

• 4 years work experience as an industrial millwright or has successfully completed a curriculum closely related to Millwright work from a vocational institution with 2 years’ experience.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign;
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds;
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above;
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas;
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age;
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders;
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises;
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces;
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
