About the role

The Maintenance Tech will perform a variety of semiskilled trades for the maintenance support of the Bridgestone tire plant in Aiken, SC.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a skilled team member in the continuous improvement of maintenance, fabrication, welding, installation, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment and components.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Welding experience
• Industrial maintenance experience (preferred)
• Technical school training (preferred)
• Familiarity with mobile powered equipment like aerial lifts, forklifts, and cranes (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands, alarms, and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with working at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/steel toe shoes are required
