About the role
Temporary safety advisors position in the Roanoke Rapids, NC area.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety coordination work related to operating facility maintenance and/or modification activities.
- Review work packages to identify unsafe practices or situations prior to work execution.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in safety coordination work relating to operating facility maintenance and/or modification activities.
- Thorough knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA rules and their application.
- Ability to understand OSHA requirements and review work packages for safety compliance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient strength and stamina to perform technical duties and essential functions.
- Ability to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
- Full range of motion consistent with age.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
- Adequate hearing to respond to voice commands, alarms, and job‑related noises.
- Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination suitable for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
- Safety/steel‑toe shoes required.
