Responsibilities
- Controls, starts, and shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant equipment—including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors—using control boards and sequential switches.
- Maintains equipment by monitoring meters, gauges, and computer systems at established intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and detect potential operating problems.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs, such as cleaning, lubricating equipment, and tightening leaking joints, to prevent system failure or deterioration.
- Documents plant operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing forms, writing equipment malfunction reports, and handling emergency outage communication.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional teams, participates in informational meetings and workshops, and assists with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must Have:
- One Or More Of The Following:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A Relevant license
- A Graduate of trade school
- One Or More Of The Following:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
