Powerhouse Technician - Night Shift

This is a full-time, third-shift position primarily focused on our Central Utility Plant.

About the role

Operates, repairs, documents, and performs preventive maintenance on the powerhouse electro/mechanical systems within the facility. Operates stationary engines and mechanical equipment, which may include steam boilers, generators, steam turbines, air conditioners, distillers, water softeners, and other auxiliary equipment to provide utility services. Observes meters and gauges to determine operating conditions of equipment and to regulate flow of water, fuel, steam pressure, and oxygen in accordance with needs and safety standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Power Engineering Certification preferred
• General knowledge of stationary engines, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA, and Joint Commission codes and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
