Job Summary

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a skilled and energetic Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our growing team of professionals. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and staging product and materials using power equipment; maintaining equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion; daily inspection on assigned equipment; receiving/picking/putting away product; loading product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers; operating all equipment safely and efficiently; ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; keeping appropriate records and reports to maintain inventory control and security; assisting in physical inventories; supporting and abiding by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • 6 months prior work experience is a plus.
  • 6 months of prior Powered Industrial Equipment preferred.
  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
  • Able to recognize and distinguish letters and numbers (both visually and orally) and remember their sequence.
  • Basic computer usage skills.

Physical Demands / Working Environment

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights, typically 25 to 50 pounds or more, depending on the job duties.
  • Pushing and Pulling: Capability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment loaded with materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift.
  • Bending and Stooping: Capacity to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to retrieve items from shelves, bins, or storage racks.
  • Climbing: Can climb ladders or stairs to access elevated storage areas or perform maintenance tasks.
  • Operating Equipment: Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision and accuracy.
  • Repetitive Motion: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as scanning barcodes, sorting items, or packaging products, throughout the shift.
  • Physical Endurance: Stamina and endurance to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
