About the role

The Power Systems Project Engineer - Controls Focus supports the development and integration of generator control systems. This role involves assisting with electrical system architecture design, controller schematics, and system-level performance specifications. Under the guidance of senior engineers, the Power Systems Project Engineer - Controls Focus contributes to the creation and documentation of technical requirements, participates in cross-functional collaboration, and helps identify and resolve system-level issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of controls technologies and algorithms under guidance of senior engineers
• Supports creation and documentation of system-level requirements for controller development
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and documents technical issues with appropriate mentorship
• Develops foundational technical knowledge in generator control system design
• Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Contributes to continuous improvement through technical learning and knowledge sharing

Requirements

Experience Required: Candidates should have a strong background in electrical engineering, controls systems, and generator technology. Experience with generator control systems, power electronics, and automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in generator control systems or similar roles
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, control systems, and automation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
