Responsibilities
- Uses various protocols for grid communication (like DNP3, IEC 61850 for SCADA/Substations)
- Analyzes grid data (load flow, fault studies)
- Manages grid operations (coordination of relays)
- Fulfills roles related to grid stability, reliability, and safety
- Adheres to industry standards (IEEE/ANSI)
- Models system behavior for planning, protection, and control
Requirements
- Expertise in Electric Transmission or Distribution EMS / SCADA / Implementation
- Proficiency in C++, Java, and Linux
- Fair understanding of SQL/PLSQL
- Preferable hands-on experience with implementing GE EMS/SCADA or equivalent SCADA systems from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
- Knowledge of Communication Protocols (Data Exchange)
- Understanding of System Analysis Protocols (Modeling & Study)
- Knowledge of Operational/Protection Protocols (Rules of Operation)
