About the role
As our Power Systems Engineer II, you will help MISO’s Operators and neighboring grid partners perform accurate, reliable congestion and transmission coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and predictable real-time system operations across regional boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Independently coordinate and maintain core Seams processes (AFC, IDC, NNL, flowgates) with accuracy and timeliness
- Built strong, trusted relationships with MISO Operators, Market personnel, and neighboring RTO counterparts
- Contributed meaningfully to at least one improvement initiative, process enhancement, or cross-team project
- Communicate effectively and consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Two or more years of related work experience
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work comfortably with complex system data
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn and collaborate across internal and external teams
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the willingness to support a rotating on-call schedule depending on level
Qualifications
- Experience with power systems modeling tools such as PSSe, TARA, MUST, or similar platforms (preferred)

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $84,000.00 - $109,000.00 USD annually.
