About the role

This position serves as a Power Systems Engineer in Philadelphia, PA, supporting the US Navy's shipboard power generation and distribution systems. The role requires expertise in power systems engineering, with a focus on technologies, design, and processes relevant to Navy shipboard equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and troubleshoot power systems for naval vessels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement power system solutions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and standards
  • Ensure compliance with Navy regulations and industry best practices
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for power system failures

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical power
  • At least ten (10) years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer supporting Power Systems
  • Experience with US Navy shipboard power generation and distribution systems
  • Experience with electric propulsion systems
  • Strong understanding of power systems design, technology, and processes

Qualifications
