Power & Recovery Maintenance Planner
Pay Rate: $92,700 - $113,300. Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
About the role
Responsible for developing safe, comprehensive job plans for Power & Recovery mechanical work including both daily and shutdown related activities. Perform as a key member of the maintenance leadership team and share responsibility for guiding and shaping the direction of the high-performance team.
Partner with Area Process Managers, Operations Maintenance Coordinator, and Front Line Leaders to ensure efficient prioritization, planning, and coordination of maintenance work. Report to the Area Maintenance Planning Manager and work closely with the Mechanical FLL to deliver comprehensive job plans that maximize the team’s effectiveness at safely executing the right work at the right time while meeting high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Scope, bid, and award contractor work that is both safe and effective
- Manage the area Work Order backlog
- Provide planned Work Order packets for maintenance Team Members
- Maintain a pre-planned two-week work order backlog
- Order and secure parts and materials for planned and unplanned work
- Schedule maintenance work a minimum of one week in advance
- Ensure work orders are technically complete and properly closed in the system
- Responsible for equipment documentation and routing regulatory maintenance documentation to the responsible person
- Attend and participate daily in MWS meetings
- Occasionally backfill for the Area Maintenance FLL
- Continuously look for the most effective solutions that deliver safe and reliable results
Requirements
- High School diploma is required
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in maintenance or engineering disciplines is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the paper industry or heavy manufacturing
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience planning maintenance in the paper industry preferred
- Progressive experience managing maintenance and planning in CMMS systems (such as SAP) preferred
- Experience in boiler and caustic plant areas is a plus
- Journeyman Mechanic experience is a plus
- Prior experience managing reliability initiatives in preventative maintenance inspections, lubrication inspections, vibration analysis, etc. is a plus
- Strong skills demonstrated in leadership, engagement, and safety management systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents
