About the role

HDR Engineering is seeking a Power Project Manager to join its growing team of Program Management professionals. This role involves planning, developing, executing, and closing out all aspects of power projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and applying project management tools and techniques including project life cycle, client goals, contract terms, project risk, work breakdown structures, scope/schedule/budget, project initiation, planning, financial management, communication, team management, change management, and project closeout.
  • Assuming leadership responsibilities for the deliverables of multidisciplinary teams including project management, engineering, environmental, real estate, GIS, etc.
  • Implementing program management plans on a project level and reporting to program leadership on compliance.
  • Leading the Quality Assurance/Quality Control process on projects and ensuring world-class quality.
  • Maintaining frequent communication with clients to manage expectations and project progress.
  • Monitoring scope, schedule, and budget performance of projects against pre-established metrics and adjusting as necessary to meet budget and control losses.
  • Understanding project risks and executing mitigation plans to avoid or reduce risk.
  • Collaborating with program leadership and contributing to the preparation of monthly program reports.
  • Using PMIS (project management information system) and BI to manage projects and deliverables.
  • Mentoring, training, and supervising junior staff.
  • Representing HDR to support marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of program management experience, experience managing projects using PMIS such as E-Builder, ProCore, Kahua, Oracle, Primavera, etc., PMP certification.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7 years related experience, 2 years project management experience, ability to interact with various design teams, excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position is full-time and based in Orlando, Florida. Some travel for business development and execution may be required.
