Power Equipment Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales forecasts in all Power Equipment departments.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of power equipment, a strong understanding of the retail financing process, knowledge of competitive product offerings, and have experience with relationship building and closing sales.
  • Focus on product classes including, but not limited to: Tractors, Tractor Attachments & Implements, Zero-Turn and Riding Lawn Mowers, Utility Trailers, UTVs, and all related accessories and parts.
  • Help potential customers find power equipment products that match their specific applications and needs.
  • Maintain equipment displays and signage to optimize sales.
  • Conduct power equipment demonstrations when necessary.
  • Aid customers through the retail financing process and ensure all requirements are met prior to the release of the tractor.
  • Manage ordering of power equipment for store stock and customer special orders.
  • Assist with receiving, moving, and displaying power equipment products.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) processes when receiving and selling any applicable equipment.
  • Cook delivery of equipment products to customers as needed.
  • Enter and maintain current customer information in Salesforce system throughout the equipment's lifecycle.
  • Keep accurate tractor inventory in both store inventory systems and Salesforce system.
  • Coordinate service and repair of items with RK mechanics, parts department, and mobile technicians.
  • Assist customers and mechanics with repair documentation in Salesforce system, including creating cases, parts requests, work orders, and warranty claim processes.
  • Ensure safe use and proper maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Cross-train other associates within the store to assist power equipment customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the outside of the store and shop work area.
  • Use general office equipment regularly, specifically the ability to frequently operate a keyboard to enter information.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments and responsibilities.
  • Stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Possess exceptional customer service skills and a desire to help others.
  • Expert knowledge and operational experience with power equipment.
  • Results-oriented with retail sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong background with using electronic equipment, including tablets, computers, and online applications.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Strong communications (written, oral, and interpersonal skills).
  • Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit.
