Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales forecasts in all Power Equipment departments.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of power equipment, retail financing, competitive product offerings, and relationship-building to close sales.
- Serve as the direct point of contact for customers’ power equipment needs throughout the entire lifecycle (sales, service, warranty, etc.).
- Help customers find power equipment products that match their specific applications and needs.
- Ensure equipment displays and signage are set correctly and maintained to optimize sales, following the Outdoor Merchandising Guide.
- Conduct power equipment demonstrations when necessary.
- Assist customers throughout the retail financing process and ensure all requirements are met prior to equipment release.
- Manage the ordering of power equipment for store stock and customer special orders.
- Assist with receiving, moving, and displaying power equipment products.
- Conduct pre-delivery-inspection (PDI) processes for applicable equipment.
- Coordinate the delivery of equipment products to customers as needed.
- Maintain Salesforce with current customer information throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate tractor inventory in store systems and Salesforce.
- Coordinate service and repair with RK mechanics, parts department, and mobile technicians.
- Assist customers and store mechanics with repair documentation in Salesforce, including creating cases, parts requests, work orders, and finalizing warranty claims.
- Ensure the safe use and proper maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Cross-train other associates to assist power equipment customers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store exterior and shop work area.
- Use general office equipment, including frequent keyboard operation for data entry.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments and responsibilities.
- Stay current on the latest developments in power equipment.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly.

Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills and a desire to help others.
- Expert knowledge and operational experience with power equipment.
- Results-oriented with retail sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to adapt to new environments, responsibilities, and activities.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong background using electronic equipment, including tablets, computers, and online applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
- Ability to access and use in-store computers, scanning systems, and wireless handheld units.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Repetitive wrist movements on a keyboard.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
- Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
- Ability to use a ladder, pallet jack, and/or forklift.
- Close vision for computer-related activities.
