Power Electronics Engineer
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate. Include sections only when posting has real specific content. Avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". We have content: mission statement, role description, responsibilities list, qualifications list, compensation and benefits details, about company. Also there is "Compensation and Benefits | P3 San Jose Zone $154,000—$181,000 USD". So we have Pay and Benefits sections. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule heading. Also we have "About Electric Hydrogen" which could be "About the role"? Actually "About the role" is generic; we have description of role. Could use "About the role" heading for the prose describing role. Or we could use "About Electric Hydrogen" as a separate section? The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should map content to those headings. We have: About the role (description). Responsibilities (list). Requirements/Qualifications (maybe combine). Skills (maybe list of specific skills). Benefits (list). Pay (salary range). No schedule.
We need to preserve all substantive info. Not invent. Remove boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, navigation, cookie, legal, application instructions. Also remove "About Electric Hydrogen" maybe considered boilerplate? It's substantive about company; we could include under "About the role"? But maybe better to have a section "About Electric Hydrogen" but not in allowed headings. The instruction says use those headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities...). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says "use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings. So we should map company description maybe under "About the role"? But that seems odd. Could also omit company description if not fitting. However we must preserve ALL substantive information. The company description is substantive. Could we put it under a heading "About Electric Hydrogen"? Not in list but maybe acceptable as it's still a heading. The instruction says use those headings for section headings (e.g. ...). It doesn't say you cannot use other headings, but suggests those are typical. Safer to include a heading "About Electric Hydrogen" as . It's still a heading. The instruction didn't forbid other headings. It just gave examples. So we can include.
We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to format responsibilities as - . Qualifications as
- . Skills maybe as
- . Benefits as
- . Pay as maybe
with salary range.
We must not repeat job title as heading. No job title given explicitly; we can ignore.
We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; none present.
We must remove duplicated lines.
Let's extract content:
Mission statement: "Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people deliver creative decarbonization energy solutions to our customers." Could be part of About the role or About Electric Hydrogen. We'll include in About Electric Hydrogen.
Role description: "We are seeking a hands-on Power Electronics Engineer to contribute across the full converter development cycle, from topology analysis and simulation through schematic capture, PCB layout, magnetics design, and laboratory bring-up and validation of power stages. In this role, you will work closely with electrical, firmware, controls, and systems engineering teams to develop and optimize power electronics solutions for Electric Hydrogen’s products."
That's prose for About the role.
Responsibilities list:
- Participate in converter topology analysis, including design and optimization, loss calculations, and development of costed bills of materials (BOMs)
- Develop schematics and execute PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools
- Analyze and design magnetic components, including inductors and transformers, with responsibility for core and winding selection and loss estimation
- Perform hands-on laboratory debugging and troubleshooting of power stages, including bring-up, testing, and validation
- Support modeling and simulation of power electronics converters to evaluate performance and inform design decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the design, development, testing, and validation process
Qualifications list:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- For mid-level candidates, 3+ years of relevant industry experience in power electronics; strong academic, project, or internship experience in power electronics will be considered for junior-level candidates
- Experience with power electronics converters, including rectifiers and inverters
- Working knowledge of magnetics analysis and design
- Experience with power electronics modeling and simulation tools such as PLECS, Simulink, or comparable tools
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuitry
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools; experience with OrCAD is preferred
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of power electronics hardware
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of power electronics control is a plus
- Familiarity with digital design and microcontrollers is a plus
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as Ansys Maxwell is a plus
We could separate Requirements (education/experience) and Skills (tools etc). But we can combine as Qualifications. The instruction includes Requirements, Qualifications, Skills as possible headings. We could split: Requirements: education and experience; Skills: technical skills. Let's do that.

Benefits list from "Compensation and Benefits | P3 San Jose Zone $154,000—$181,000 USD Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience. Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package. We feel strongly that our team should not have to worry about having quality healthcare. In addition to the base salary offered, the hired applicant may receive: an equity grant time off programs a $75/month cell phone allowance a 4% employer 401(k) match access to competitive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term & long-term disability plans a discretionary bonus Electric Hydrogen’s benefits programs are subject to eligibility requirements."
We need to separate Pay and Benefits.
Pay: salary range $154,000—$181,000 USD (maybe note location P3 San Jose Zone). We'll include that.
Benefits list:

- time off programs
- $75/month cell phone allowance
- 4% employer 401(k) match
- access to competitive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term & long-term disability plans
- discretionary bonus
Also mention base salary is part of total rewards, but we already have pay.
We should not include filler like "Actual base salary offered ... will be determined based on..." That's substantive but could be included in Pay section prose. We can include a
explaining that base salary varies based on location, level, qualifications, etc. That's not filler; it's substantive. So Pay section can have a
with that explanation plus the range.
Benefits section:
- for each.
About Electric Hydrogen: we have mission statement and description: "Electric Hydrogen is a team of the world's experts in scaling technologies for the post-carbon world, with a proven record in transforming the grid and transportation sectors. Backed by some of the world's top venture capital firms, we design and manufacture electrolytic hydrogen systems matched to renewable power sources to create green hydrogen by splitting water. We are building a cost-effective and transformative path between renewable energy and multiple large industrial sectors. Abundant and low-cost renewable energy sources will power the world, and Electric Hydrogen technology will use this energy to decarbonize industry through sustainable materials. We were founded in 2020 and are based in California and Massachusetts."
We can include that as About Electric Hydrogen heading.
We must not include EEO boilerplate etc. The final paragraph about equal opportunity employer etc is boilerplate; remove.
