Job Requirements
What You Will Do
- Perform bench bring-up, functional testing, and characterization of power supply circuits, regulators, and power rails.
- Benchmark power performance: efficiency, load/line regulation, ripple and noise, transient response, quiescent current, and thermal behavior.
- Measure and characterize battery, charging, and power-delivery behavior across operating conditions and corners.
- Set up and operate lab equipment: oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, source measure units (SMUs), data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and current/power measurement rigs.
- Build, modify, and maintain test fixtures, cabling, sense/Kelvin connections, and bench setups for power measurement.
- Execute power test plans, log results, and flag anomalies for review.
- Capture, clean, and analyze measurement data; produce clear efficiency curves, waveforms, plots, and summary reports.
- Assist with board rework, soldering, and basic power circuit debug tasks.
- Track units, samples, and devices under test; maintain lab inventory and test logs.
- Document test procedures and keep power validation records up to date.
What You Will Bring
- Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, EE Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Understanding of power electronics fundamentals (regulators, DC-DC converters, power rails, voltage/current measurement).
- Ability to read schematics and use standard electrical lab instruments.
- Basic soldering / rework and bench debugging skills.
- Strong data hygiene — accurate, well-organized record keeping.
- Clear written and verbal communication; reliable and detail-oriented.
Work Experience
- Preferred Skill: Hands-on experience characterizing or benchmarking power supplies, regulators, or battery/charging systems.
- Familiarity with electronic loads, SMUs, and precision power measurement setups.
- Scripting for test automation or data processing (Python preferred).
- Experience with automated power test frameworks and DAQ tooling.
- Experience with electronics or small-form-factor hardware development.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, iterative hardware development environment.
Pay Range
Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements
This role is considered an on-site position located in Sunnyvale, CA. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
