Power Curve Operator - Shipping

About the role

Operate power curve (conveyor loader) into boxcars and trucks. Stack product off of the conveyor belt while keeping count of the amount of product being loaded onto the carrier. Prepare boxcars and/or truck trailers (lining walls with paper, cardboard, etc.) to protect product. Ensure packaging materials are kept clean and safe. Maintain quality product by verifying proper counts, product condition, and appearance before, during, and after packaging.

Responsibilities

• Operate power curve (conveyor loader) into boxcars and trucks
• Stack product off the conveyor belt and maintain accurate counts
• Prepare boxcars and truck trailers by lining walls with protective materials (paper, cardboard, etc.)
• Ensure packaging materials remain clean and safe
• Maintain product quality, including proper counts, condition, and appearance
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Requirements

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Willingness to climb up to 30 feet
• Willingness to lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day
• Willingness to work in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Willingness and ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Commitment to following all Safety and Food Safety rules
