Power control Systems Engineer - Rockton, IL (onsite)

Job Description

Design and develop internal power distribution systems for commercial appliances. Analyse and manage electrical load requirements across various operating conditions. Integrate power supplies, converters, and protection devices into appliance systems. Ensure compliance with applicable safety and energy efficiency standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ENERGY STAR).

Skills

• Knowledge of thermal management and fault protection strategies.
• Hands-on experience with compliance testing and certification processes.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as power analyzers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and programmable ac power sources.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, IEC, CSA, etc.).
• Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) and CAD software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
