About the role
We are seeking a Power Apps & SharePoint Designer who can create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing business applications and SharePoint experiences. This role focuses on UI/UX design, information architecture, form design, user journeys, and collaboration with developers to deliver modern Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and responsive App user interfaces using Power Apps.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for business applications.
- Design forms, navigation structures, dashboards, and reusable UI components.
- Ensure consistency across applications by maintaining design standards and style guides.
- Optimize user experience by simplifying workflows and minimizing user effort.
- Design modern SharePoint sites, pages, and information architecture.
- Create engaging layouts using modern web parts and page templates.
- Design document libraries, metadata structures, navigation, and search experiences.
- Develop site branding guidelines aligned with organizational standards.
- Improve content discoverability and usability through effective information architecture.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and understand business processes.
- Create user personas, user journeys, and process flow diagrams.
- Translate business requirements into user-centric designs.
- Recommend design improvements based on user feedback and usability testing.
- Establish reusable design patterns and component libraries.
- Define standards for accessibility, usability, and responsive design.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise branding and governance guidelines.
- Promote adoption of best practices across Power Platform and SharePoint environments.
- Work closely with Power Platform Developers, SharePoint Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Support development teams by providing detailed design specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Develop e-learning using Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
- Apply instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Design multimedia using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Create video editing and motion graphics/animation (Vyond) for learning and communication assets.
- Design graphics for digital learning and internal communications.
- Apply UX/UI design principles and Human-Centered Design.
- Perform wireframing and prototyping (Figma preferred).
- Design and develop end-to-end learning materials from concept to implementation.
- Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG).
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in designer roles.
- Prior experience in financial services or insurance analytics preferred.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms and large datasets.
Skills
- Power Platform: Power Apps Canvas Apps, Power Apps UX Design, Power Fx fundamentals, Dataverse understanding.
- SharePoint Online: Modern SharePoint Sites, SharePoint Page Design, Site Navigation & Information Architecture, Document Libraries & Metadata, SharePoint Branding & User Experience.
- Design & UX: UI/UX Design, Wireframing and Prototyping, User Journey Mapping, Design Thinking, Accessibility Standards, Usability Testing.
- Design Tools: Figma.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Requirements gathering, Stakeholder management, Design documentation.
- Nice to Have: Experience designing enterprise applications using Microsoft Power Platform; experience with financial services, insurance, or corporate intranet solutions; familiarity with Power Automate workflows; understanding of SharePoint governance and content management best practices; Microsoft Power Platform or SharePoint certifications.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110k - $125k per annum plus benefits. The wage range considers skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Discretionary bonuses may also be available.
